Keswick and Intwood Parish Council

The Parish Council will meet on the following dates in 2023:

• Wednesday 22nd February 2023 – Parish Council Meeting
• Monday 15th May 2023 – Annual Parish Meeting & Annual Meeting of the Parish Council
• Wednesday 28th June 2023 – Parish Council Meeting
• Wednesday 27th September 2023 – Parish Council Meeting
• Wednesday 29th November 2023 – Parish Council Meeting

The Annual Parish Meeting and the Annual Meeting of the Parish Council have been rescheduled and will now take place on Wednesday 26th May 2021 at 7.00pm at the Parish Reading Rooms.

Unfortunately the government has suspended the legislation which has allowed parish councils to conduct meetings virtually and thus the parish council has had to revert to physical meetings in order to transact its business.

The Parish Council looks forward to welcoming residents back, however we know that this carries the risk of transmission of COVID-19 and that, understandably, many people do not feel safe to return to ‘normality’ just yet. Unfortunately the reading rooms do not have the facilities to stream the meeting live, however the minutes will be put on the website as soon as possible after the meeting has taken place.

If you do plan to attend we would ask that, due to the current circumstances, you notify the Parish Clerk in advance so that the numbers of people are recorded, and do not exceed the limit of the parish reading rooms, as we must ensure that social distancing is adhered to. Please also be aware that face coverings, in line with government guidance, will be mandatory within the parish reading rooms.

Alternatively, if you would like to make a written representation, please feel free to contact the Clerk by 12pm on Monday 24th May, who will present your correspondence to the parish council during the meeting.

Please be aware that the Annual Parish Meeting of Keswick and Intwood has been postponed.

Originally organised for Wednesday 12th May 2021, the meeting has had to be postponed due to the legislation that has allowed Councils to meeting virtually via online platforms coming to an end as of the 6th May.

In order for the Council to ensure that the in-person meeting is conducted in a safe manner, mitigating the risk of transmission of COVID-19 for all attendees, the Council is looking in to holding the meeting later in May, once the necessary risk assessments have been conducted.

An update will be posted here as soon as possible to inform parishioners of the meeting date, time and location.
