Harford Park and Ride bus link A140 Ipswich Road bus Lane resurfacing closures.

Work began in September to carry out highway improvement works at the Harford Park and Ride site and Ipswich Road. The work is scheduled to last for approximately 13 weeks. It will involve the widening the of the Park and Ride exit lane and creating a new exit lane from the site to link onto a new bus lane on A140 Ipswich Road, between the site northbound to approximately 110m south of the traffic signals at Tesco superstore junction. Some narrowing/coning of the northbound lane near the Park and Ride site will be required to safely construct this new bus exit lane.

As part of this work, it is necessary to close A140 Ipswich Road between the A47 southern bypass roundabout to the Harford Tesco traffic signals for 5 nights between 20:00hrs and 06:00hrs from 17 to 21 November 2025 to enable resurfacing and carriageway line marking.

A signed diversion route will be in place in both directions using A146 Barrett Road/Daniels Road/Lakenham Road and A146 Loddon Road (Trowse bypass) and A47.

The County Council thanks people for their patience while this improvement work is carried out.

The work which will cost £700,000 will be carried out by Norfolk County Council’s Infrastructure Department and their contractors.

Advance Work Notice – Weston Road – Road Closure

Upcoming Works

As part of our work to prepare for the installation of the Hornsea 3 onshore cable, we are required to transport equipment and materials to and from our compound in Oulton. Due to the nature of our works, some of these deliveries, known as ‘abnormal loads’, require larger specialised vehicles to transport them. To allow the safe passage of these vehicles, we will need to conduct tree pruning on parts of the route. This is so vehicles don’t come into contact with overhanging trees that have become overgrown.

To facilitate these works, we have permission to temporarily close Weston Road between the following dates:

17 March 2025 – 21 March 2025 at all times

Please note: we may not need to close the road for the full time, or at all, if we are able to complete the works sooner.

If we do need to close the road a temporary diversion route will be in place. The diversion route can be found overleaf. Weston Road will be closed to through traffic, but local access will be maintained up to where the team is working.

About us

The Ørsted vision is a world that runs entirely on green energy. Ørsted develops, constructs, and operates offshore and onshore wind farms, solar farms, energy storage facilities, renewable hydrogen and green fuels facilities, and bioenergy plants.

 

The Hornsea 3 wind farm received development consent in December 2020. Hornsea 3, once complete, could provide clean power to over three million UK homes. It will make a significant contribution towards meeting the UK’s net zero commitments and we’re committed to working closely with stakeholders and local communities as we take the project forward.

Norfolk County Council proposes to make a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order (the “Order”) (STRO11956) affecting the C184 Low Road from its junction with U78471 Mark Lemmon Close for 400m south-eastwards (the “Road”) in the Parish of Cringleford to facilitate Norfolk County Council patching works, the Road will be temporarily closed (except for pedestrian access) for the duration of the works/period the closure is necessary which is anticipated to be from 20th to 22nd January 2025, but may continue to be closed until the 5th March 2025 where the closure is still required beyond the anticipated dates.

Alternative route is via: Keswick Road, Low Road, Mulbarton Road, Ipswich Road, Daniels Road, Newmarket Road, Eaton Street (Cringleford, Keswick and Intwood).

Vehicular access will be permitted to a final destination in the Road where signs indicating such access is possible and permitted are in place.

The Order shall automatically revoke on the completion of the works when the closure is no longer necessary or otherwise on the 5th March 2025 without further notice.

If necessary, the restriction could run for a maximum period of 18 months from the date the Order is effective.

A person who contravenes, or who uses or permits the use of a vehicle in contravention of the closure imposed by the Order shall be guilty of an offence.

Penalty: £1000 maximum fine on conviction and/or endorsement for contravention.

In the event of the start date being delayed the new start date will be displayed on site in advance.

Low Road, Keswick – road closure

Work to repair the footway surface on Low Road, Keswick will start on Monday 20 January 2025 and will take three days to complete. To undertake this work effectively and safely will require the full width of the carriageway, therefore the road will need to be closed while work is in progress.

The full length of this road will be closed between Fir Hill and Mark Lemmon Close.

Access to properties within the closure will be maintained from one end of the closure at all times, and a signed diversion route along B1113, A140 Ipswich Road, Daniels Road, A11 Newmarket Road, Eaton Street, Keswick Road will be set up.

Norfolk County Council thanks people for their patience while this maintenance work is carried out.

The work, which will cost £6,000 will be carried out by Norfolk County Council’s Community and Environmental Services Department and their contractors.

The road will be temporarily closed (except for access) between 20:30 and 06:00 from 7^th to 12^th August 2023 for the duration of the works expected to be about 6 days within the period.

Alternative route is via: Ipswich Road, Lakenham Road, Hall Road, Barrett Road, Martineau Lane, Loddon Road, A47 (Caistor St. Edmund and Bixley, Trowse with Newton, Keswick and Intwood).

If necessary, the restriction could run for a maximum period of 18 months from the date of the Order.

Penalty: £1000 maximum fine on conviction and/or endorsement for contravention.

As part of the construction of the Hornsea Three substation we are required to construct a new access to our site. The new access will have wide visibility splays giving drivers entering and exiting the site ample visibility and ensuring the safety of both our workforce and members of the public.

To facilitate these works we shall be closing a single lane on the B1113 between the following dates:

19 July 2023 to Mid-August 2023 between 9am and 4pm, Monday to Friday.

During the single lane closure, temporary traffic lights will be used to manage traffic. This single lane closure will replace the single lane closure that is currently in place.

Once the new access has been constructed, all traffic management along the B1113 shall be removed.

We have attached an Advance Work Notice to this letter containing further information.

In accordance with the provisions of Section 14(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the Norfolk County Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that owing to Network Rail barrier repairs the use by vehicles of the C178 Intwood Road 10m either side of the level crossing in the PARISH OF KESWICK AND INTWOOD will be temporarily prohibited from 12^th to 16^th June 2023 for the duration of the works, expected to be about 5 days within the period. If necessary, the restriction could run for a maximum period of 5 days.

Alternative route is via: Intwood Road, Swardeston Lane, Intwood Lane, The Common, Short Lane, Main Road, Mulbarton Road, Low Road, Keswick Road (Cringleford, Swardeston, Keswick and Intwood)

Penalty: £1000 maximum fine on conviction and/or endorsement for contravention.

NORFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL has made a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order (STRO7973) affecting the C184 Low Road from its junction with U71764 Fir Hill for 113m north-westwards in the PARISH OF KESWICK AND INTWOOD to facilitate AW repairs to a burst water main.

This Order continues the provisions of the Notice dated 9^th February 2023 that the road will be temporarily closed (except for access) and the restriction will now continue in effect from 15^th to 16^th February 2023 (previously 8^th to 14^th February 2023) for the duration of the works expected to be about 2 days within the period.

Alternative route is via: Low Road, Keswick Road, Newmarket Road, Eaton Street, Bluebell Road, Newmarket Road, Daniels Road, Ipswich Road, Mulbarton Road (Cringleford, Keswick and Intwood, Eaton, Norwich).

If necessary, the restriction could run for a maximum period of 18 months from the date of the Order.

Penalty: £1000 maximum fine on conviction and/or endorsement for contravention.

In accordance with the provisions of Section 14(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the Norfolk County Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that owing to Anglian Water burst water main repairs the use by vehicles of the C184 Low Road from its junction with U71764 Fir Hill for 113m north-westwards in the PARISH OF KESWICK AND INTWOOD will be temporarily prohibited from 8^th to 14^th February 2023 for the duration of the works, expected to be about 7 days within the period.

This Notice has a maximum duration of 21 days. Where exceptional circumstances are encountered during the performance of the works specified in this Notice, the operational period of this Notice may become extended by issuing an Order or further Notice to allow completion of the works for a maximum duration of 18 months.

Alternative route is via: Low Road, Keswick Road, Newmarket Road, Eaton Street, Bluebell Road, Newmarket Road, Daniels Road, Ipswich Road, Mulbarton Road (Cringleford, Keswick and Intwood, Eaton, Norwich).
