Advance Work Notice – Weston Road – Road Closure

Upcoming Works

As part of our work to prepare for the installation of the Hornsea 3 onshore cable, we are required to transport equipment and materials to and from our compound in Oulton. Due to the nature of our works, some of these deliveries, known as ‘abnormal loads’, require larger specialised vehicles to transport them. To allow the safe passage of these vehicles, we will need to conduct tree pruning on parts of the route. This is so vehicles don’t come into contact with overhanging trees that have become overgrown.

To facilitate these works, we have permission to temporarily close Weston Road between the following dates:

17 March 2025 – 21 March 2025 at all times

Please note: we may not need to close the road for the full time, or at all, if we are able to complete the works sooner.

If we do need to close the road a temporary diversion route will be in place. The diversion route can be found overleaf. Weston Road will be closed to through traffic, but local access will be maintained up to where the team is working.

If you are concerned about accessing your property during this time, please contact us using the details at the end of this letter.

What to expect

• You might see us working on site during the day. Our working hours are 7:30 to 17:30, Monday to Friday.
• Some low-level noise from onsite machinery during working hours.

• Keep all sites safe and secure, while keeping disruption to a minimum.
• Answer your questions via our community phoneline and mailbox.

About us

The Ørsted vision is a world that runs entirely on green energy. Ørsted develops, constructs, and operates offshore and onshore wind farms, solar farms, energy storage facilities, renewable hydrogen and green fuels facilities, and bioenergy plants.

 

The Hornsea 3 wind farm received development consent in December 2020. Hornsea 3, once complete, could provide clean power to over three million UK homes.
