A47 Trowse Interchange to Postwick Interchange
I am writing to inform you that we’ll be carrying out essential survey work to assess the condition of the road between the above locations in both directions.
We plan to complete this work over 2 weeks from Monday 25 October to Friday 5 November between 8pm and 6am, during weeknights only, subject to weather conditions.
Closures and diversions
To carry out this work safely, we will need to close the A47, and divert traffic. We have liaised with the local authority to agree the most suitable dates and diversion routes for this work. We will be working in three phases along the A47 as follows:
- Trowse Interchange to Postwick Interchange eastbound – Monday 25 October to Friday 29 October.
- Blofield to Postwick Interchange westbound – Friday 29 October to Wednesday 3 November.
- Cucumber Lane Roundabout to Blofield eastbound – Wednesday 3 November to Friday 5 November.
Eastbound traffic will be diverted off the A47 at Trowse Interchange onto the A146 and A143 to re-join the A47 at Vauxhall Roundabout.
Westbound traffic will follow the same diversion as above but in reverse.
